Sun care habits for everyday city life in Singapore

In Singapore the sun does not take a day off. It is there on the walk to the MRT, on the way to lunch and through the window at your desk. The best sun care habit is the one you will actually keep, so here are a few easy ones for everyday city life.
Make it the last step of the morning
Sun care goes on after the rest of your routine, as the final layer. Cleanse, press in your serum, add moisturiser if you use one, then apply sun care. Doing it at the same point every morning turns it into a habit rather than a decision.
Choose a texture you enjoy wearing
The sun care you enjoy is the sun care you will wear. We have two lightweight options:
- The Sun Ampoule is SPF50+ PA++++, lightweight and made for daily wear with a soft glow.
- The T-Collagen Sunscreen Serum has a serum-like texture, also SPF50+ PA++++, for people who prefer a lighter feel on the skin.
Both are made to sit comfortably under makeup or on their own. Follow the directions on the pack for how much to apply.
Do not forget the places people skip
Face, neck and ears are easy to remember. These are the ones people often miss:
- The sides of the neck and the back of the neck.
- Ears and the hairline.
- The backs of the hands, which spend a lot of time outdoors on a commute.
Reapply when you are outside
Sun care helps protect the skin when used as directed, and that includes reapplying. If you will be outdoors for longer, a walk at lunch or time at the park, top up following the directions on the pack. On days mostly spent indoors, one morning application is a good start.
Cloudy days and desk days
Light comes through clouds and through windows, so a cloudy morning or a desk by the window is not a reason to skip. Keeping sun care in your morning routine every day is simpler than deciding each day.
Take it off properly at night
Wash it off in the evening with a gentle cleanser. If your skin feels tight after cleansing, try a softer formula and use lukewarm water. A clean base also helps your serum feel more comfortable in the evening.
Patch test first
We recommend a patch test on your inner arm ahead of first use. If you have sensitive skin or a specific skin condition, please speak to your doctor first.
Use sun care in the morning, every morning.
You do not need a new routine, just one extra step at the end. Add sun care to the routine you already have and let it become part of your day.
