A light routine for Singapore's humid days

When the air is warm and heavy, long routines can feel like too much. The good news is that skincare does not need to be long to feel good. Three light steps, done in the right order, are enough for most days in Singapore.

Step one: cleanse gently

A cleanser has a simple job: remove sweat, sunscreen and the day, without leaving skin feeling tight. Our Butterfly Pea Cleanser is a gentle gel that leaves skin feeling soft rather than stripped, which matters when you are cleansing twice a day.

Use lukewarm water, massage for about a minute, then rinse well. Pat dry with a clean towel.

Step two: a lightweight serum

Humidity often makes skin feel slick by midday, so texture matters. A lightweight serum gives you comfort without a heavy layer on top. The Advanced Youth Activating Serum has a light texture that helps the look of an even, radiant tone and layers easily with whatever comes next.

Press 2–3 drops onto the face and neck. If your skin feels well hydrated, you may not need a separate moisturiser in the morning.

Step three: sun care, every morning

In a city where the sun is strong all year, sun care is the step that earns its place. The Sun Ampoule is a lightweight daily sun care with a soft glow, designed to be easy to wear on warm days. Apply it as the last step of your morning routine and follow the directions on the pack.

A simple day, start to finish

Morning

  1. Cleanse with the gel cleanser.
  2. Press in the serum.
  3. Finish with sun care.

Evening

  1. Cleanse well, especially if you wore sun care or were outdoors.
  2. Press in the serum again.
  3. Add a light moisturiser if your skin feels dry from air conditioning.

Small habits for humid days

  • Keep textures light. Gels and lightweight serums tend to feel more comfortable than thick creams in the heat.
  • Do not skip the evening cleanse. Sweat and sun care build up over the day.
  • Pat, do not rub. It keeps the routine gentle, particularly when skin is warm.
  • Match the routine to the day. After a long day in air conditioning, skin may want more comfort. After a day outside, it may want less.

Patch test and pace yourself

We recommend a patch test on your inner arm ahead of first use of any new product. Add one new step at a time, a few days apart, so you can see how each one feels.

A quiet ritual, morning and night.

Three steps, repeated every day, will usually do more for how your skin looks and feels than a long routine you cannot keep.
